Kevin Bacon hopes comic book fans are so captivated by his impressive sideburns in X-Men: First Class that they won’t mind his other superhero shortcomings.

The skinny Apollo 13 star admits he doesn’t quite measure up to his role as mutant hero Sebastian Shaw.

“I hope that they won’t be too much disappointed with the fact that I don’t look anything like Sebastian Shaw,” says Kevin of X-Men fans.

“When I first read the script, I went online and Googled the character and I saw this massive, Lou Ferrigno-type guy with a ponytail, dressed like George Washington and I thought: ‘I just don’t know how I’m going to do that!’ But that’s not the look we went with.

“I do have the hairy chops though!”

The Born This Way singer says one of the only things that effect her superstar confidence is the thought of someone reading her mind.

“Psychics freak me out. They terrify me,” says Gaga.

“Recently I was doing a show and this woman came over to me and passed me a card saying, ‘I have something to tell you. Come and see me later.’ I was like, ‘No! Get away.’

“I just prefer to do things in my own way rather than think there could be something else taking that power away from me.”

Gaga recently revealed she‘s “obsessed” with cooking shows.

“When I get time off, I like to watch cooking shows, I’m really obsessed with them,” she said. “I’m a really good cook now, just from watching those shows. My speciality is Italian.”

Many scientists thought that a promising new type of stem cell called pluripotent stem cells would eventually lead to a cure for Parkinson’s. But in an unexpected blow, new research has found that the cells won’t be effective because they will be rejected by patients’ immune systems.

“It’s a crushing blow to Michael and some of the research that his foundation is funding,” an insider told the National Enquirer.

“Michael is seeing his life ebb away. Turning 50 is a wake-up call. He wonders if he’ll be able to dance at his kids’ weddings.

“Michael had such high hopes for this potentially miraculous stem cell therapy, but now it’s back to the drawing board.”
